Additionally, the historic Clark Slough will be restored into a coastal wetlands preserve covering nearly one-third of the total development. The project will also include recreational amenities such as a Discovery Museum as well as biking and walking paths connecting Marina Center to Eureka’s historic downtown.
Kuni BMW dealership for Kuni Automotive in Beaverton reflects the integration of a rigorous corporate design and facility planning guidelines, a City Design Review process, and a sloping irregular site. The result efficiently placed automobile storage over a 38-stall service space with at-grade access in the back. The interior showroom and office spaces were smoothly integrated into the overall design through meticulous pre-planning and collaboration with the client, and successfully met the high standards of both Kuni and BMW.
The Shops at Griffith Park is the first building to be designed according to the City of Beaverton’s newest Design Review Handbook, which calls for buildings constructed closer to the street and concealed parking. The 18,000 square foot project incorporates a nautilus-shaped public plaza flanked by alfresco dining, shaded sidewalks with benches, and low-water landscaping. Shop designs emphasize daylighting and use a variety of colors and materials including brick facades, metal arches and copper lighting fixtures.
